Charity Spotlight | Cocheco Valley Humane Society

Beangroup Realtor Kelly Giraud recently donated $1,000.00 to The Cocheco Valley Humane Society and is the newest elected member of the Board of Trustees. Kelly is a shining example of what Beangroup is and what it strives to be, a family of REALTORS that cares. Her donation of time and money is a small step in our goal of changing our world.

In a recent survey REALTORS were perceived only one notch above "car salesman" for honesty and professionalism. At Beangroup we are working hard to change that perception. We truly believe we can change our world and one way we do that is by giving charitably to the communities in which we live.

The Cocheco Valley Humane Society, founded in 1984, is a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the care of homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Strafford County. The Society, located in the county complex on County Farm Road, cares for approximately 3,000 animals per year which are dropped off at its door for one reason or another. This monumental undertaking is accomplished with a handful of staff members, a great number of volunteers, and many generous donations from the community. The shelter receives no funds from the government and runs this large operation totally on fundraisers and donations from the public.
